Menganalisis Konsep objektivitas dalam Penilaian Hadis melalui Ilmu Jarh Wa Al-Ta`dil

Abstract

The science of jarh plays a significant role as a branch of knowledge in understanding and assessing the credibility of hadith narrators. In the process of hadith transmission, this role involves narrators conveying the stories/biographies of all their descendants.  Therefore, it`s cruciaI to understand the credibility of the hadith narrators to ensure the authenticity and validity of the narrations. This research aims to analyze the concept of objectivity found in hadith assessment, focusing on  theevaIuation of the credibility of hadith narrators. In this context, objectivity becomes key to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the information conveyed through hadith. This research identifies various criteria used in the processes of jarh (criticism) and tadil (recognition) of narrators, as well as how these criteria aim to reduce subjectivity in evaluation. Therefore, this study recommends the need for the development of a more systematic methodology to enhance objectivity in the science of al-Jarh wa al-Tadil, thereby reinforcing the scientific foundation in hadith studies.
