Dinamika Perkembangan Terminologi Ilmu Rijalul Hadis dari Periode Klasik hingga Kontemporer

Abstract

The study of hadith has continuously undergone dynamic development and transformation throughout each phase of its historical evolution, in line with the demands and challenges of the times. This article seeks to portray and elaborate on the evolution of hadith studies over the past century in the Islamic world. Utilizing a historical-descriptive approach, it maps the characteristics and recent trends in hadith scholarship. Four major tendencies are highlighted in this discussion: first, the study of hadith manuscript texts; second, research on polemics surrounding hadith; third, the examination of scientific and futuristic miracles within hadith; and fourth, the development of takhrij (referencing and sourcing) methodologies in hadith studies.
