Abstract

This research emphasizes the legal protection of registered trademarks in Indonesia, especially in resolving trademark conflicts. Trademarks hold strategic value as business identities and economic assets. A lack of awareness among business owners regarding official registration often leads to legal disputes. Law No. 20 of 2016 grants exclusive rights for ten years, renewable if the trademark is officially registered. Using a descriptive qualitative method through literature review, the study finds that legal protection promotes certainty and supports a healthy business climate. Improved law enforcement and better education for business actors are essential to reduce the risk of future trademark disputes.
