Copyright and Licence

Authors who publish with the Journal of Islamic Finance and Economics agree to the following terms:

  1. Copyright
    Authors retain the copyright of their articles. The journal is granted the non-exclusive right of first publication, allowing the work to be simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons license that permits others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution.

  2. License
    All articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) license.
    Under this license, readers and users are permitted to:

    • share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format

    • adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material

    • for any lawful purpose

    As long as they:

    • give appropriate credit to the original authors

    • provide a link to the license

    • indicate if changes were made

    • distribute derivative works under the same license (ShareAlike)

  3. Author Rights
    Authors are allowed to:

    • deposit their work in institutional repositories

    • share preprints or postprints

    • reuse or distribute their own published work

    • use their article for teaching, conference presentations, or future works

  4. Publisher Rights
    The journal reserves the right to:

    • publish the article

    • manage and archive the published version

    • display it on the journal’s website and indexing platforms

  5. Third-Party Material
    If the manuscript contains materials from third parties (figures, tables, datasets, etc.), authors must ensure these are used under appropriate permissions or licenses.
