Tantangan dan Peluang Koperasi dalam Ekosistem Lembaga Keuangan untuk UMKM di Era Digital

Abstract

Cooperatives play a strategic role as financial institutions that support the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in expanding inclusive access to financing. However, in today's digital era, cooperatives face significant challenges due to technological disruption, increasing competition from fintech companies and digital banks, as well as limitations in adopting information technology. On the other hand, digitalization also offers vast opportunities for cooperatives to enhance operational efficiency, expand service reach, and establish strategic collaborations within the digital financial ecosystem. This study aims to analyze the challenges cooperatives encounter, explore the potential opportunities available, and formulate adaptive strategies to ensure cooperatives remain relevant and competitive in serving MSMEs amid digital transformation. The analysis is based on literature review and recent policy analysis. The findings are expected to contribute to strengthening cooperatives as key financial partners for MSMEs in Indonesia.
