Ekonomi Digital Islam: Memanfaatkan Fintech untuk Memperkuat Praktik Zakat dan Wakaf

Abstract

The development of Islamic digital economy is in line with advancements in information and
communication technology. One crucial element of this digital economy is the use of financial
technology (fintech) to strengthen the practices of zakat and waqf. This research aims to explore how
fintech can optimize the collection and distribution of zakat and waqf, while also enhancing
transparency, efficiency, and accessibility for donors and beneficiaries. By utilizing digital platforms,
the management of zakat and waqf can be conducted more effectively, resulting in a greater social
impact. The findings of this study indicate that the integration of fintech into zakat and waqf practices
not only increases community participation but also supports the economic sustainability of the
ummah.
