Cirebon is one of the cities in West Java that has a distinctive cultural pattern and is different from the West Java region in general. This difference is influenced by the fusion of Sundanese and Central Javanese cultures, resulting in a distinctive culture of Cirebon. One aspect of culture that is still maintained today is the craft of written batik. Cirebon itself has a variety of batik motifs, one of the most famous in the community is the mega mendung motif and the palace motif, of the many places or batik studios in Cirebon, Wijaya Kusuma batik studio is one of the studios that still exists today, the owner of Wijaya Kusuma batik studio himself feels sad about current technological developments that make the younger generation no longer interested in local culture, They prefer and imitate Western culture rather than their own. Therefore, the owner of Wijaya Kusuma batik studio conducts workshops and seminars in schools in the Cirebon area with the aim that the younger next generation can preserve ancestral culture so that they can compete in the eyes of the world. Efforts to preserve written batik culture at Sanggar Wijaya Kusuma are an important step to ensure that this cultural heritage remains sustainable and does not disappear from the list of world cultural heritage With education about the importance of written batik, public awareness of original batik products made in Indonesia can increase. In addition, batik is also a productive economic sector for the community, while still paying attention to the sustainability of environmental preservation through culture. This research uses a qualitative approach with field research methods, this aims to expose the data objectively.
