This article examines the application of values derived from the prophetic tradition of Muzara’ah a
classic land lease contract in Islam in contemporary agricultural cooperation models in Indonesia.
Muzara’ah embodies ethical principles such as fairness, contractual clarity, proportional profit sharing,
and the avoidance of exploitation or uncertainty. These principles are crucial for modern agricultural
partnerships, including cooperation between farmers and investors, agricultural business models, and
community-based land management. Using descriptive qualitative methods supported by library
research, this study analyzes key hadiths on Muzara’ah, scientific interpretations, and current patterns
of agricultural cooperation. The results show that integrating the values of Muzara’ah into contemporary
practices can create a normative basis for fair and transparent cooperation, address the structural
problems of small farmers, and increase sustainable agricultural productivity. This research concludes
that the ethical framework of Muzara’ah provides practical guidelines for creating mutually beneficial
partnerships and strengthening farmers' bargaining power in the modern agricultural system
