Abstract

The Islamic capital market represents an integral component of the Islamic financial system, playing a crucial role in strengthening financial inclusion and promoting investment growth based on Islamic economic principles in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the contribution of the Islamic capital market in expanding public access to financial services and its strategic role in supporting a fair and sustainable national economic development. The research employs a qualitative literature study approach by reviewing academic books, journal articles, official reports, and relevant regulations. The findings reveal that the Islamic capital market has significant potential to increase public participation in halal financial instruments such as Islamic stocks, sukuk, and Islamic mutual funds. Moreover, it contributes to financing the real sector, enhancing financial system stability, and promoting a more equitable distribution of wealth. However, its development still faces several challenges, including low levels of Islamic financial literacy, limited product innovation, and a lack of regulatory harmonization. Therefore, strategic measures such as improving education, accelerating digitalization, and innovating Sharia-compliant instruments are essential to establish an inclusive, competitive, and ethically grounded financial ecosystem in line with Islamic values.
