Abstract

The impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on Indonesia's e-commerce industry will transform Indonesia's 
e-commerce, especially in 2025. AI can transform the way online businesses interact with customers by 
providing automated customer service, intelligent product recommendation systems, and shopping 
experiences that better suit customer preferences. To achieve this goal, this study uses a literature review 
approach that looks at research conducted over the past five years. AI plays a critical role in transforming 
the way online businesses interact with customers through automated customer service, intelligent 
product recommendation systems, and personalization of the shopping experience to increase customer 
loyalty and conversions. When AI is applied, things like customer service automation and inventory 
management optimization become more efficient. It also opens up new opportunities in digital 
marketing strategies and builds a national digital economy ecosystem. However, to maintain consumer 
trust, the main issues that must be addressed are ethics and data privacy. It is hoped that this research 
will provide an in-depth overview of the role of AI in transforming Indonesian e-commerce. It will also 
serve as a basis for future technological policies and innovations.
