Abstract

Sharia management is increasingly being adopted as an alternative in modern digital business, as it emphasizes ethical principles, justice, and collective welfare while still considering profitability aspects. However, its implementation faces various challenges, including a lack of understanding of Sharia concepts in management, limited availability of competent human resources, regulatory constraints, and global competition that is still dominated by conventional systems. This study aims to examine the application of sharia management principles in modern business, identify key challenges, and analyze their impact on business sustainability and consumer trust. This research employs a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data are obtained from various academic sources, including scientific journals, reference books, and relevant documents that discuss Sharia management principles. The findings indicate that implementing sharia management in transparency, accountability, and consumer trust. However, its success depends on the readiness of human resources, a deep understanding of Sharia principles, and adequate regulatory support. The main challenges include adapting to a competitive business environment and the lack of integration of Sharia principles into the conventional business system. In conclusion, Sharia management holds great potential for effective implementation in modern business, but it requires appropriate implementation strategies. Raising awareness of Sharia values and strengthening supportive regulations are crucial factors in ensuring the sustainability of Sharia-based businesses amid global competition.
